Anxiety

Anxiety (Gr. tarache) is, according to Epicurus, the primary illness plagueing humanity; lack thereof (Gr. ataraxia) is the Epicurean desideratum. All of Epicurus' teaching is directed towards preventing, or curing anxiety.
