Lucian of Samosata [Λουκιανος ὁ Σαμοσατεύς], (120 CE - after 180 CE) was an Assyrian-Roman rhetorician and satirist, writing in the Greek language, noted for his witty and scoffing nature.

Of particular concern to Epicurean scholarship are his works Alexander the Oracle Monger and Zeus Rants.
