Melite house

In Epicurus' Will, Epicurus stipulates that a certain house in the Melite district shall be used for the residence of Hermarchus along with "all his companions in philosophy." We may thereby infer that this property was separate from the more famous Garden. Cicero, in De Finibus, speaks of Epicurus having "a small house" crowded with resident friends. It is likely that Epicurean manuscripts were published here.
